The Gilded Sage Kitchen

Bright, clean, and functional. White shaker cabinetry pairs with veined quartz and a classic white subway backsplash. A sage beadboard island with seating centers the room. The Challenger

The previous layout offered little contiguous counter space and no central gathering spot. Circulation cut directly through the cook zone, creating bottlenecks. Lighting was uneven, leaving shadows over the main prep areas, and ventilation relied on recirculation.

Storage was a mix of shallow uppers and blind-corner bases, so everyday items lived on the countertop. Finishes felt tired and mismatched with the rest of the home, making the kitchen functional but not inviting.

The Result

We organized the room around an open L with a center beadboard island that adds seating for three and a clear, uninterrupted prep zone. Veined quartz surfaces and a white subway backsplash deliver bright, easy-care worktops. White shaker cabinetry shifts storage to deep drawers, tray dividers, and organized corners, while brass pulls and a matching faucet warm the palette.

A stainless hood improves ventilation, and recessed LED lighting removes shadows at the sink, range, and island. Light oak flooring ties the spaces together for a fresh, modern, and comfortable kitchen.
