Airy, open, and welcoming. White shaker cabinetry replaces dated maple tones, paired with veined quartz counters and a classic white tile backsplash. The redesigned L-shaped layout with a peninsula brings seating and flow to the space. Matte black fixtures add contrast, while stainless appliances keep the look timeless. Wide-plank oak floors connect the kitchen to the surrounding dining area.

Bright whites, quartz counters, and black accents create a clean, modern space where every detail supports comfort, light, and function.

The Challenger

The original kitchen was closed off with upper cabinets and dark finishes that absorbed light. Circulation between the kitchen and dining area was tight, and workspace was fragmented across narrow counters. The heavy cabinetry and granite surfaces dated the space and limited visual connection to the rest of the home.

The Result

Walls were opened to establish a bright L-shape with a peninsula for casual dining and clear prep zones. Shaker cabinetry in satin white lightens the palette, complemented by quartz worktops and black hardware for modern definition. Open shelving and deep drawers increase usable storage while improving accessibility.

Updated lighting and a farmhouse sink enhance both function and personality, transforming the kitchen into a cohesive, inviting centerpiece that connects seamlessly with the dining and living areas.
